A Room with a View

New York-based artist Tony Feher recently visited Artpace in preparation for his upcoming 12.1 Hudson (Show)Room exhibition that is slated to open on January 12, 2012.

For Feher, it was a Texas homecoming of sorts, as he was raised in Corpus Christi and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. During his brief visit at 445 North Main, he applied blue painter’s tape to the windows of his loft. The incorporation of this material is a common characteristic of his work, for example look at his 2005–2006 Chinati Foundation or 2007 Art Museum of South Texas exhibitions.

We look forward to seeing Feher’s vision come to fruition in our Hudson (Show)Room. Mark your calendars for the opening on January 12 and the subsequent artist talk tentatively scheduled for January 13 at the UTSA Downtown Campus.
