Artpace guest curators are tops!

Like many of our past artists, Artpace’s guest curators keep themselves high in demand.

Patrick Charpenel, curator, collector, and past 10.2 guest curator has been appointed Director of Mexico City’s La Coleccion Jumex. The collection, which was amassed by Jumex juice heir Eugenio Lopez Alonso, will make the move next year from the outskirts of Mexico City to a new four-story space designed by David Chipperfield Architects.

Also noteworthy, in addition to serving as Artpace’s 13.2 guest curator, Hou Hanru, Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs, as well as Department Chair of Exhibition and Museum Studies at the San Francisco Art Institute, has been selected to lead the 5th Auckland Triennial in 2013.

Amy Austin
Amy spends her free time watching foreign films, cooking, and reading her new favorite magazine, The Gentlewoman. She loves red wine, white cotton sheets, textured hosiery, the hammock on her balcony, her cats Henning and Waffle, and Haribo red licorice wheels. Amy will not openly admit, however, that she finds happiness in frequent visits to the Sanrio store.
