Artpace, as you know, likes to share. All of our programs and exhibitions are free and open to the public. So why not share our Taco Friday playlist, too? Freshly mixed by DJ Banalogue (aka me, Artpace Visitor Relations Associate Chris Castillo), we now present the Gluten Freestyle playlist for September 21.

Is it possible to be in love with an exhibition? Yes. From the Momoyo Torimitsu sculptures to the roof and everything in between, guest curator Devon Dikou has enchanted visitors and staff alike with Swap Meet: Artpace and The Dikeou Collection. And then there’s Window Works. Artist collective Más Rudas installation Brown Style is rich, dense, and delicioso. The installation simultaneously addresses childhood and adulthood, the familiar nostalgia, yet  it maintains a fresh and contemporary edge. Spend time with our new exhibitions this weekend from 12-5pm.

This week is dedicated to the memory and inspiration of Ms. Donna Summer. Speaking of summer, our summer series DJ, JJ Lopez, is playing a special tribute set to Donna Summer and Chuck Brown at 10 p.m. tonight at Tucker’s Kozy Korner, 1338 E. Houston St. Free – 21+

You will also be able to hear JJ Lopez next week at Artpace’s rooftop membership party LOOK FRESH from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday, May 25th. San Antonio designer Agosto Cuellar, hair artist Angie Riojas, and make up artist Michael Gill will style members for a fast-paced photo shoot with photographer Erik Gustafson.

LOOK FRESH is free for FRESH ART FIRST members, $10 for non-members–or you can buy a membership and get in free with a guest!
