Actually, Giving Tuesday is its own special day, a reminder that the spirit of the holiday season should be about community and not just consumerism. It was initiated by the 92nd Street Y, a non-profit cultural and community center in New York, who hopes to transform the way people think about, talk about, and participate in seasonal giving.
