Special delivery from Brooklyn

Arriving last night in San Antonio to begin installation of his work, Nils Folke Anderson is already settled into his Artpace artist flat and acting like a local, dining on pumpkin empanadas and breakfast tacos.

Anderson’s work, Untitled (2006), is included in Artpace’s upcoming Hudson (Show)Room exhibition, Swap Meet: Artpace and The Dikeou Collection. You can meet the Brooklyn-based artist at the public opening this Thursday, September 20 at Artpace, from 6-8:30pm, with a 7pm walk through the exhibition with guest curator (and past International Artist-in-Residence) Devon Dikeou.

Amy spends her free time watching foreign films, cooking, and reading her new favorite magazine, The Gentlewoman. She loves red wine, white cotton sheets, textured hosiery, the hammock on her balcony, her cats Henning and Waffle, and Haribo red licorice wheels. Amy will not openly admit, however, that she finds happiness in frequent visits to the Sanrio store.
