The Inside Scoop with iPads

01.2 IAIR Artist and now 12.2 HSR Artist Lordy Rodriguez shares his methods during an iPad interview. His drawings, inspired by the language of maps and other visual elements, are now on view in the Hudson (Show)Room.
Storytelling with iPads helps the education team reveal our artists’ process through images of past work and short 30 second videos of the artists talking about their inspiration and projects.
By watching iPad interviews in Artpace’s exhibition spaces, students and visitors get to “meet” the artists and gain insight about their artistic process.

Associate Educator Marisela Barrera uses an iPad to show students how the artist, Judith Cottrell, arrived at her idea for the 12.1 Window Works exhibition earlier this Spring.
The Education team’s six iPads (donated through a grant with Rackspace) are fully integrated into all of Artpace’s public programs, including Additional Outreach, Artpace After Hours, Family Days, and more.
