Artpace is currently seeking artists to participate in the 9th Annual Chalk It Up on Saturday, October 13, 2012.

Chalk It Up is a free, family-friendly creative event that takes place on the second Saturday of October – October 13, 2012.  Artpace invites San Antonio’s premier artists to transform downtown San Antonio sidewalks with chalk along Houston Street into colorful works of art.

This community event is an opportunity for locals and tourists alike to appreciate your artwork, explore contemporary art, and participate in our city’s creative resources. Chalk it Up draws more than 18,000 San Antonians to downtown each year, and we look forward to an even larger crowd this October.

If you are interested in participating in Chalk It Up, please send an e-mail to Lindsey Smith at lsmith@artpace.org with a brief statement describing your work and three digital images that best demonstrate your work by Wednesday, August 1, 2012.
